Yateley Pads Lake is a mature lake on the west side of the Yateley Complex, owned by “Yateley West Fishery” with bookings managed exclusively by us here at Yateley Angling.
Bookings can be made by calling Yateley Angling Centre on

From 9am 1/11/25 onwards, Bookings are taken one year in advance.

Overview
A real alternative to carp fishing in France with this quality of fishing right here in the UK!
You and your favourite mates (up to 10 anglers) will have the lake to yourselves in the
heart of the most famous carp fishery complex in the world, without all the hassle involved in travelling abroad.
Yateley Pads Lake fishes well all year round and also makes an ideal venue for a Winter
social session…and with the additional bonus of Yateley Angling Centre on the doorstep
to service all your bait and tackle requirements, there is just no need to go any further!
Yateley Pads Lake is approx 4 acres, has an extensive gravel bar system and an
average depth of 5 feet. The venue’s name originates from the magnificent stands of
water lilies that adorn the western bank of the lake. With approximately 150+ carp
present, the majority from a 1998 stocking of Fishers Pond strain fish; average weights
are well over 20lb with a large number of fish over the 30lb mark, to a current top weight of 44lb+.
The carp are not overly difficult to tempt but they can be switched off by lines in the
water and constant re-casting. Therefore it is best to think carefully about how many
anglers you invite (4-6 is ideal), rod numbers, positioning and baiting strategy before arriving.

Directions
Exit the M3 at junction 4a, signposted, Farnborough, and bear left, following signs towards Yateley / Reading. Proceed straight on for approximately two miles passing the Royal Engineers Gibraltar Barracks. Shortly after the barracks turn right at the roundabout and go straight across at the next roundabout. Follow the road for approximately one mile through Cricket Hill into Yateley. Turn left at the roundabout at the end of the road onto the B3272 and, after 100 meters, turn right into Sandhurst Road. The Pads Lake is the second gate on the left, marked clearly with Yateley West Fishery signs. Gate access code is provided with booking confirmation.
